The first very important part of a car is the engine. This is comparative to the car’s heart.If you don’t take good care of this part of your car it will absolutely stop working. As we move out of summer into winter things change.Weather is naturally one of them.But did you know the fact that as the weather changes our cars are also affected?It appears that auto problems are more prevalent during the winter season.  If you are in a really harsh weather condition city it can really hurt if your car breaks down.In this article we would be talking about how weather can affect your car’s performance.

In my San Marcos auto repair service the biggest cold weather problem are dead batteries.The reason being that when the weather is cold your battery is more overworked.And because of that it runs a little harder.  Your headlights are usually running longer with the shorter days.  Plus the heater takes more energy than an air conditioner.  So the best thing to do is to make sure your battery is in good condition going into a harsh winter.

Frozen fuel lines is another problem that cars usually encounter during a cold season.  This isn’t a big auto problem for my Carlsbad auto repair service.  But this is really prevalent in cities with very cold weather.Condensation starts when you are low on fuel.And it would freeze when the weather is cold and would stop the fuel from flowing.The best way to prevent this from happening is to always fill your gas tank full.

Tire pressure would be another one of those cold weather related auto problems.Cold weather can make tires lose their pressure.This would be bad because it can hasten the rate of making the tires go bald.  Bald tires won’t do well on icy conditions.So this problem is a serious one because it can be fatal. Make sure to always check your tire pressure.

Those are common problems to cars in the cold.Doing the tips mentioned above will lead to prevention of some of those problems.And if the weather is very cold you do not want to encounter those problems.

So here are some tips to saving with auto repair expenses.  In my San Marcos auto repair service I always advise my clients to do regular tuneups.If they do take a little bit of time to change any old spark plugs, plus check the fluids it will help.  It will keep their car’s engine running smoother.Another thing it is going to cause it to run for a longer period of time.

Car problems are something every one experiences.  It doesn’t matter if you have a Mercedes or a Hyundai.Cars are just machines that will eventually break down.  But with that in mind there are some common problems you can avoid.Or if you can’t avoid them then at least you can lessen some of the problems.

First problem we are going to talk about is brought about by low levels of oil in your car.  This really isn’t a problem.But some people neglect the fact that cars burn oil.Since your car burns oil it will eventually run out of it unless you regularly check and maintain it.  That is one of my biggest pieces of advice for my San Marcos auto repair company.Be sure to check your oil levels all the time.If the oil is running low then fill your car up.  It will save you some major engine damage if you run it low on oil.

Another common problem that people always bring to my Carlsbad auto repair shop is check engine light problems. When the check engine light comes on it is usually a sign of some emmission problem.  First thing to realize is you don’t have to panic.It’s not something that can be a cause for major problems. You will want to consult the vehicle manual to see what it could mean exactly for your car.  You do want to eventually have a mechanic look at it but don’t worry about it for now.

Finally, people always complain about are clicking noises. This is usually caused by a piece of rock or debris in the tires.You can just take some time off and go take a look at your tires. When you find it you can usually just use a pen or stick to pop it off of your tires.It is not a major cause of rpoblem for your car.It justs makes you worry because it sounds like there is something wrong.Or it can also be annoying especially if you find out that it is not something to worry about.  But in the long run it isn’t something bad.

Doing this simple task will go a long way.It will enable the engine to run smoother and it can also make it last longer.Think of the oil as your car’s blood.It won’t survive just like a person that is losing a lot of blood.A car that is low on oil can severely damage its engine.  I have seen it too many times where customers brought in a burnt out engine into my Carlsbad auto repair shop.  And it was all because they didn’t have sufficient oil.So be smart and regularly change the oils of your car.

Finally I always tell my clients to watch out for their transmission.The transmission is a part of a car that is expensive to replace just like the engine.  But having it last long is easy. You just need to take care of it regularly.In my transmission repair shop, I always remind my clients that they should always check their ttransmission fluids.  Letting this run down can ruin their transmission.
